1. Chocopologie by Knipschildt
Created by Fritz Knipschildt, La Madeline au Truffe has the
distinction of being the world's most expensive -- and extravagant -- chocolate. A rare French Perigord truffle (the mushroom after which these confections are named) is surrounded by a decadent ganache of 70% Valrhona dark chocolate, heavy cream, sugar, truffle oil and vanilla, enrobed in dark chocolate, then rolled in fine cocoa powder.
The 1.9oz. treat, made to order, is then presented on a bed of sugar pearls for the bargain price of $250 -- that's $2,500 per pound!
Hey Kevin...Are you going to Paris again anytime soon? I want to try the Chocopologie by Knipschildt truffles.haha
