A self-described "hockey mom" and mother of five, Governor Sarah Palin hunts caribou, ice fishes, eats mooseburgers, rides snowmobiles, owns a floatplane, drives a state-provided Chevy Suburban and lives in a large cedar-shingled house. A one-time Miss Alaska runner-up, Palin ditched gowns, swimsuits and tiaras for bulky parkas, down vests and fur boots.
