Feel Like First Class in Coach

Travel

Travel columnist Harriet Baskas of USAToday.com, MSNBC.com and author of the "Stuck at the Airport" blog offers these simple suggestions to luxe up your cramped coach experience for a first class feel:

Dress up. You always feel first class when you're dressed first class.

Pamper yourself. Bring noise-canceling headphones, a DVD or MP3 player, a bottle of water, and your own amenities kit filled with hand lotion, facial moisturizer, sleep mask and breath mints. Flight 001's F1 Flight Pak ($28) is packed full of travel-sized products like floss, mouthwash, moisturizer and other goodies. Or try Flight 001's Lights Out Sleep Mask ($15) -- its special mold design allows natural eye movement during sleep.

Bring along a travel pillow and travel blanket. (If there are any in coach, they're icky!) Flight 001's popular Lug Nap Sac ($28) contains an inflatable pillow and a cozy blanket that even has a pocket for your cell phone or iPod!

Dine on first class snacks: Bring a delish picnic from home or from the neighborhood deli, or get a made-to-order to-go meal from an airport restaurant.

wow! thanks for the great tips...i had the dress up part..just needed to upgrade the accessories! thanks for sharing!

Wow what a great grouping, now this would have you flying in comfort! This would be a great win....pick me pick me!

I would like to win this to give to my Aunt Judy and Uncle Jim because my Uncle is a retired airline pilot and they travel all over the world and have done so much to help me and my family.
